Part-Time Ph.D. for Working Professionals

The Part-Time Ph.D. for Working Professionals enables you to pursue doctoral research while continuing your professional career. Designed for experienced professionals from industry, healthcare, government, research organizations, and academia, this program offers the flexibility to undertake research without interrupting your employment. You will work under the guidance of experienced MAHE faculty while addressing research challenges relevant to your profession and organization.

Scholars must be present on campus for admission, protocol confirmation, six-monthly progress reviews, synopsis presentation, thesis defence, and final viva voce. Additional visits may be required for coursework, training, research discussions, or other academic activities, depending on project requirements. Campus engagement expectations should be agreed upon with the Supervisor at the start of the program.

Successfully meet the academic eligibility criteria prescribed by MAHE for Ph.D. admissions.
Are employed in an organization that supports and facilitates research.
Have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
Submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or Letter of Support from your employer.
Have access to a co-guide from your organization or a nearby institution who meets MAHE's eligibility requirements for co-guideship.

Scholarship

This admission category does not include a university-funded scholarship or monthly fellowship. You will continue your employment and salary with your current organization while pursuing your doctoral research.
