The Department of Radiodiagnosis & Imaging at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, has expanded significantly over the years and is now equipped with Ultrasound, Color Doppler, Mammography, MDCT, MRI, and DSA in addition to conventional radiography. The department performs diagnostic radiology as well as therapeutic interventions with skilled staff and senior teachers committed to quality and academic excellence. Postgraduates are trained using a stepladder approach with emphasis on basic radiology in the first year and exposure to diverse pathologies and advanced imaging in subsequent years. The department provides 24x7 hospital services for both diagnosis and therapy while working in collaboration with other specialties for effective tertiary level care. The department maintains collaboration with the Four Ways Healthcare reporting program in the UK and provides expert interventional radiology support across Manipal group hospitals as required.
