Established in 1963, the Department of General Medicine at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal is one of the key departments among clinical specialities and one of the oldest Medicine departments in the private sector in India, with its postgraduation course started in 1973. Besides training undergraduates and postgraduates in general medicine, the department integrates state-of-the-art speciality clinical work, ICU services, and regular CMEs, conferences, and post-graduate clinics attended by national and international faculty, supported by around 40 skilled faculty across different experience levels and dedicated teaching facilities.
