Department of Orthopaedics
The Department of Orthopaedics at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, is one of the largest and oldest departments, not only within Manipal Academy of Higher Education but also in the entire Dakshin Kannada region. Led by senior and distinguished faculty, the department provides sub-specialisations including shoulder and elbow surgery, hand and microvascular surgery, total joint reconstruction, arthroscopy, paediatric orthopaedics, foot and ankle surgery, spine surgery, musculoskeletal oncology, surgical sports medicine, and orthopaedic trauma. Now a separate branch from general surgery, the department offers comprehensive patient care and rehabilitation of disabled individuals alongside teaching and research.
