Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery acts as a bridge between medicine and dentistry and is the only surgical department in dentistry. Combining teaching and clinical activity, it provides both inpatient and outpatient care, with separate male and female wards at KMC Manipal, across a broad spectrum of conditions, from dental infections and maxillofacial trauma to pathology, facial deformity, and facial pain. Notably, it is among the first institutes in India to perform TMJ replacement surgeries, and equips its postgraduates with hands-on experience through trauma-centre duties and life support training.

Dental Extractions
Provides safe removal of teeth that are severely damaged, decayed, infected, or impacted. Appropriate care is provided before, during, and after the procedure.
