Candidates who have the requisite qualification of Indian Boards or from foreign universities or Boards of Higher Education recognised as equivalent to the +2 stage of India by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi are eligible for admission to Manipal University. If required, candidates will be asked to obtain the ‘Equivalence Certificate’ from the AIU, New Delhi.
Admissions are in conformity with the guidelines set by Manipal University, Association of Indian Universities and the Statutory Bodies of India like the Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India, Pharmacy Council of India, Indian Nursing Council, Rehabilitation Council of India, All India Council for Technical Education, Council of Architects of India, etc.
The following foreign examinations have been recognised as equivalent to the + 2 stage of an Indian Board : GCE ‘A’ Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB), STPM, Ontario Secondary School Diploma(OSSD), South Australian Matriculation(SAM), NCEA Level 3 of New Zealand, 12 year General Secondary Education Certificate issued by the Ministry of Education, Higher Secondary Examinations of the approved Boards, Senior Secondary, Sri Lankan ‘A’ Levels, Secondary Stage qualification of National Examinations Board/Council, 12 years Secondary Stage Examinations conducted by the various Provinces of Australia, Canada, American High School Diploma, etc.
Age Limit
Candidates applying for MBBS, BDS, B Pharm, Pharm D and BSc Nursing must be at least 17 years old and date of birth should fall on or before 31.12.1995. There is no minimum age limit for all other undergraduate courses offered at Manipal University.
