The department runs a consultancy centre to provide statistical consultation to all levels of researchers in the university. Consultancy services are offered specially for:

• Study design
• Sample size estimation
• Data analysis
• Interpretation of finding

Statistical consultancy will be provided only on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday with prior appointments and only on following timings:

Timing of the consultancy:
Tuesday: 10.00 am to 1.00 pm
Friday:    2.00 pm to 5.00 pm

Students get the consultancy form signed by their guides/ in-charge before coming for the consultation and submit the form in the department office after consultancy. The consultancy form can be downloaded here

Guidelines for Statistical Consultation:

1. You are requested to obtain a prior appointment to statistical consultation.
2. Students have to bring the filled consultation request form with guide/co-guide’s signature. The form may be downloaded from the manipal.edu site.
3. Students have to come with their Guide during the first consultation.
4. Any cancellation of the appointments should be informed to the statistics department office.
5. More than two appointments for each PG/UG student will not be entertained. The third appointment will be given only with the recommendations of concerned faculty of Department of Statistics.
6. We do not entertain the use of pen drive. For consultation students may bring their laptop or they may attach the data to their personal email.
