Course structure:
Title of the programme – Certificate course in Nanoscience and Technology
Duration of the Course – 3 months
Objectives
· To provide an overview of nanoscience and technology and its applications in almost all branches of science and engineering.
· To provide the knowledge on the fundamental concepts on wide range applications of nanoscience and technology in the fields of medicines, environment, information technology, heavy industry, consumer goods likes food, optics, textiles, sports, agriculture and so on.
· To provide the ability to understand the essentials of applications of nanoscience and technology and also the synthesis and characterization of nanostructure materials.

Eligibility for Admission : Candidates with any Science or Engineering Degree
Selection of students : First come first served basis

Course structure:
Title of the programme – Certificate course in Industrial and Medical applications of Lasers.
Duration of the Course – 6 months (80 hours of interactive sessions and 26 hours of laboratory)
Interactive sessions:
- CIMAL 101 Laser Basics
- CIMAL 102 Laser-Matter interactions and safety regulations
- CIMAL 103 Laser Applications
Lab Demonstrations:
- Lasers: Standard Operating Procedures, Working of lasers, Types of Lasers, Laser hazards and Safety Regulations
- Laser Based techniques
Examination Schedule:
Internal tests will be conducted at last weeks of the 3rd and 6th months (Multiple choice questions – 25 marks). Average of these two tests will be added with final exam marks conducted at the end of 6th month.
Mark distribution:
Final Examination : 40 marks
Internal Test : 25 marks
Attendance : 10 marks
Mini Project : 25 marks
