What is Atomic and Molecular Physics?
All the matter in the universe is organised into atoms and molecules. Behaviour of these fundamental building blocks under external and internal fields is the domain of atomic and molecular physics. Concepts derived from atomic and molecular physics play a central role in many other fields like Biomedical Sciences, Material Science, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Astrophysics and Astronomy.
