  1. Can you briefly detail the accommodation facilities?
    The new batch of students will be staying at:

    KCA Ventures, Service Apartments

    It is furnished service apartments with the following facilities:

      • Full power back up
      • Cable TV
      • Wi-Fi Internet access
      • Equipped kitchen
      • Swimming pool / Gymnasium
      • Adequate security
      • Restaurant Round the Clock
      • Laundry services
      • Adequate security
      • Car parking facility

        The cost per student is Rs 5000/- for lodging. Two persons will be sharing a room.
        College bus service will be provided to these students.
  2. What kind of students can take admission in MIRM? Is biology in class 12 a necessary subject to get admissions in MIRM?
    Students best fitted for the programme – with a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or MBBS/ BDS or B.E. in Biotechnology. Since we are enrolling students holding a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or MBBS/ BDS or B.E. in Biotechnology, it is assumed that they would have Biology as a subject in their class 12 curriculum.

  3. What can a student do after a degree from MIRM? Does he join the industry or further study for research?
    After obtaining a Master’s degree, the course students can choose to work with nationally and internationally based Stem Cell companies. The programme is also of value to students wishing to progress in the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology companies or in clinical application.

    Besides this, many students can register for a Ph.D. They will always have an edge over others in pursuing Ph.D in stem cell based research from internationally renowned institutes.
  4. Does MIRM have any tie-ups with other research bodies in the world?
    The latest collaboration is with Stamcelinstituut, K U Leuven, Onderwijs & Navorsing 1 Herestraat 49, bus 804 3000 Leuven, Belgium. This collaboration is in the field of basic research in stem cells and help in placements of students after they pass out. From the first batch of students, four students had been placed to work in the laboratory.
