The Indian Hospital Pharmacist Association (IHPA) is the national professional body of hospital pharmacists engaged in the practice of pharmacy. The head quarter of this association is based in New Delhi and Dr B D Miglani is the founder of this association. There are more than 5000 members all around the country and countries abroad. IHPA is committed to provide professional forum for hospital pharmacists to help them secure their rightful place in the health care system. In the year 2008, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences started the local branch of IHPA in Manipal as per the MOU between Manipal University and IHPA. Principal of Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences is the president of this local branch of IHPA. Manipal local branch is also responsible for the publication of the official bimonthly Journal entitled “Indian Journal of Hospital Pharmacy”. This journal is being successfully published, from Manipal, for the second year.
