“My College” contest

Ms Faria Zarrin, MPharm. Part-I (Department of Pharmacy Management) student of MCOPS won 2nd prize in “My College” contest conducted by pharmainfo.net, a premiere website providing useful and valuable information on Pharmaceutical Sciences. The contest involved providing all necessary information, facilities, infrastructure, details of faculty and staff, achievements of students and college and other pertinent information with pictures.

Ms. Faria received a certificate and a cash prize of Rs.3000/- as 2nd prize winner of the contest. She was guided by Mr. Manthan D Janodia, Faculty of the Department of Pharmacy Management, MCOPS, Manipal.

Skills Test

A 3- member student team of Ms. Faria Zarrin, Department of Pharmacy Management, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal, Mr. Himanshu Saurabh, Department of Pharmaceutics, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Mr. Kaushal Pathak, Department of Pharmacy Practice, Manipal College of Pharmaceuticals Sciences were among the final 8 teams selected for the prestigious Skills Test 2009, conducted by pharmainfo.net, a premier website providing information and publishing articles in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. This skills test involves testing communication skills (written and oral) of pharmacy graduates from various colleges of India. The participants were required to express their thoughts and knowledge by the way of submitting blogs on various concepts. This test also has novel concept like awarding prizes for “Participant of the month” to those participant who actively share the knowledge with fellow pharmacists and blogs continuously.

The team was guided by Dr. Manthan D.Janodia, Faculty, Department of Pharmacy Management, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal University.

Ms. Faria Zarrin bagged the title of “Participant of the month” for the month of April and May 2009 consecutively.
