Is the institute a private/ government/ university?
It is a constituent college of Manipal University, a private self-financed and deemed university.

The institute is forty-five years old. We began offering graduate/ postgraduate/ research programmes in the years 1963, 1970 and 1970 respectively.

Well-furnished air-conditioned and non air-conditioned hostels with all amenities for men and women separately are available.

Describe the teaching methodology?
Classroom teaching involves lectures, PowerPoint presentations, discussion and seminars. Laboratory exercises through experiments/simulated experiments/case studies are either to illustrate or reinforce a specific concept discussed in the lecture portions. Workshops are conducted for exchange of information.Students have access to the well-stocked library with latest books, journals (print and online), and multimedia records are available for reading and references. Students have access to the university computer and Internet facilities at central library.

Does MCOPS provide research facility for the students?
Yes. Research doctoral programme leading to PhD is offered subject to availability and funding.
