The very fact that this program “MS in VLSI –CAD” was structured, is to enable folks who are already working in the same industry and to sharpen their skills. When it was started, many of my batch mates were not sure if we would complete the course while working. Because, the very thought of going to classes on every weekend was not easy, but very painful. But, let me assure everyone who wants to take up this course, that it tastes very sweet once the course is completed. The thought of completion of the course is very joyful and gives a feeling of achievement. This is a well planned course and allows enough time to prepare, allows good guidance to complete the course work like assignment and presentations. Most of the folks think that the project deadline at work makes it difficult to complete this course. There are good times and bad times during the course which involves high pressure (from work) to interesting subjects. Since we are in the same field of work, it is enlightening to study and also it becomes easy as we have experience first and then theory comes next. However, since ours was first batch, it was very difficult and we faced many hurdles with the schedules. In-spite of this, many of us have completed the course. Now things have significantly improved which tells the future students, that they should take up this course and complete it as. All the best and remember, there is no short cut for success.

The MS Program at Manipal has helped me continue my studies along with my job. The course is apt for a person like me working in the hardcore IT Sector and software testing. The faculty pool is an experienced lot and also the syllabus has all the latest ingredients of a regular masters program.
