Welcome

The demand for corporate programs among working professionals was on the rise and even companies with fewer staff members wanted their employees to take up these programs. As a result, the University decided to implement a calendar event wherein the batch was not restricted to the employees of a single company but nominations from different companies were taken. This method of admission was well appreciated by students as well as the corporate as it gave one a feel of the actual University Program. The seriousness towards the program also increased. The program is now offered twice in a year, in the months of April/ May and October/ Nov, so that the growing demand can be catered to without compromising the quality of the program.

After the success of the corporate programs in Bangalore, and looking at the demand of similar programs in Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad, the corporate programs were launched at these locations in the year 2007. By October 2008, the programs will also be launched in Delhi & Kolkata.

The courses are co-ordinate by Manipal Centre for Information Science (MCIS). MCIS, the school of design & software excellence of Manipal University, was set up during the year 1998. MCIS, which houses medical software, VLSI-CAD, Embedded Systems, is a premier institution in India, which equips student with cutting-edge technology as per the market requirements. The institute is working in close association with industry giants like Synopsys Inc, GE Medical Systems, Philips Semiconductors, SysChip, Cerner Corporation and a Consortium of other VLSI and Embedded Design Houses for its post graduation courses.

The aim of the corporate programs is to provide working professionals an opportunity to build their career and keep alive their passion for higher studies by providing them with continuous education so that they do not have to leave their employment. It also provides them with a platform to learn the latest in the specialised areas and look at the real time implementation of the same in actual working scenarios.
