The secret of the success story of an institution can solely be attributed to high standard of discipline. Since my daughter had been a student (Ms. Babitha Mary Jacob, M.Sc. Nursing student, 2008-2010) at MCON, I happened to be a frequenter, at Manipal campus. In the MCON campus everyone seems to be very busy and I hardly find any student loafing around. The famous library of Manipal University of international standard has no parallel in southern India. The stages for various programs provide ample opportunities for the all-round development of the students in the campus. Ultramodern teaching hospital with its specialty departments make the students of MCON, Manipal, to familiarize in the use of highly sophisticated latest world class equipments and up to date techniques and therapeutics in the medical fields. The relentless hard work of a far sighted, efficient and strong willed administrator and faculty are the driving force behind the smooth and efficient functioning of this great College of Nursing. Through talent search the college staff picks the gifted ones in every field and encourages them by giving special coaching for competitions. This enables the college every year in providing winners in intercollegiate and interuniversity competition, bring up laurels to the nursing college in both academic and non-academic field.

Manipal University is the best campus for both academics and co-curricular activities. The library facilities available have been considered as one among the top 5 libraries in the Asian continent. Most of their classes have been made interactive and interesting by lecture cum discussion by teachers within the Maniapl College of Nursing and other sister institutions in Manipal University. The college also has access to the Manipal University’s Sports complex called “Marena” which enhance the students’ all-round development through active and vigorous sports viz. jogging tracks, foot ball field etc. Owing to the wide scope of job opportunities made easy in and outside India, I feel extremely proud to have sent my daughter (Ms. Sibil Thomas Elavumkal, B.Sc. Nursing student 2008 batch) to this prestigious university; And I look forward to sending my younger daughter to the Manipal College of Nursing as well.
