The laboratory attached to the department is equipped to carry out screening of all common ailments e.g. Diabetes, Hypertension and Anemia. In addition, the laboratory has specially designed bags to carry the necessary equipment for home care like thermometer, articles for urine testing, growth monitoring, dressing, physical examination etc

Besides the infrastructure of the college, the well equipped laboratories and clinics of various departments of the University viz. Kasturba Medical College, Manipal Institute of Technology support various academic and research activities.
