The faculty in the department is involved in conducting departmental research. Ongoing research is “Patient education materials used by nurses and their effectiveness in communicating health messages in selected community settings in Dakshina Kannada District”.

In addition to the departmental research, faculty members are also doing individual researches.

All the research conducted in the department are summarized and sent for publications to the national or international journals.
