Any resolution for an amendment to the constitution of the student council shall have the approval of at least two-thirds majority of the existing student council and then the faculty council.

The amendment shall then be approved by two-thirds majority of each of the next two consecutive student councils.

If any of the next two consecutive student councils proposes a modification of the amendment, the amendment shall be modified accordingly and presented for approval to the faculty council and thereafter to two consecutive student councils.

An amendment that is totally rejected by the faculty council shall not be considered for another five terms of the student council.

The faculty council shall give the final approval of any amendment before it is be added to the constitution.

The faculty council may consider bypassing any of the by-laws pertaining to amendments, keeping in mind the higher academic interests of the institution and the programme.
