The Manipal Assisted Reproduction Centre (MARC) offers various types of treatment for infertile couples. The facility includes ultrasonography, fully-equipped andrology laboratory, in vitro fertilization and embryology laboratory and semen bank. The staffs involved in MARC have been working on sub fertility problems since 1990 and have profound knowledge and experience of assisted reproduction. The centre is headed by Prof. Pratap Kumar.

The staff includes gynaecologists, embryologists, experienced technicians and trained nurses. All possible assisted reproductive techniques are offered by the centre. It includes intra uterine insemination (IUI), In vitro fertilization (IVF-ET) with embryo transfer, Intra cytoplasmic sperm infusion with embryo transfer (ICSI-ET) and heterologous insemination especially for azoospermic patients.

This centre offers a variety of options during evaluation and treatment. Testing procedures to determine male partner status, uterine/ ovarian status, and tubal status help to recommend treatment options for the couples. Facilities for cornual recannalisation by Fluroscopic control and hysteroscopic cannulations are available.

Laser technology is available for assisted hatching of the thick shell of embryo for better success in implantation. MARC is also pursuing research programmes to improve the quality of management of sub fertile couple. Research work on animals also is being carried out. MARC also offers 3y Masters Course in clinical embryology.
