The museum covers an area of about 168 square metres. There are 261 specimens present in the museum.

Museum specimens are mounted in glass jars arranged in rows along with flow charts, wax models, weapons, photographs, etc. Catalogues of the specimens are available to the students.

Museum helps in the learning activities of both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The museum is also equipped with 40 student type microscopes and 1 compound microscope.
