The department also prides itself in its research output. Our staff have presented or published research papers of stature. Our department staff had been awarded TMA Pai Gold Medal for Best Research in 2009-2010.The Department of Physiology is involved in various research projects in the form of short term student projects, faculty projects, PG dissertation work and PhD programmes. The core areas of research are Behavioral Studies in Wistar Albino rats ,Heart rate Variability (HRV) , Toxicology , Neuroscience , Oxidative stress, antioxidants , obesity, etc.
