The undergraduate students are posted for a period of three months in paediatrics during their course of study. This includes an introduction posting of one month in IV semester at KMCH, Attavar and Government Wenlock Hospital. It is followed by ten days of neonatology at Government Lady Goshen Hospital and twenty days in paediatrics at KMCH Attavar and Govt.Wenlock Hospital in VIII semester and one month of micro-teaching and clinical postings at Government Wenlock Hospital and KMC Hospital, Attavar in their final semester. Clinical examinations are conducted at the end of each posting for internal assessment. Theory classes are taken during VII, VIII and IX semesters. Seminars are presented by the students under faculty guidance in the VIII and IX semesters. Theory examinations are conducted at the end of VIII and IX semesters for internal assessment. In addition to the teaching curriculum, students are actively encouraged to present projects for the ICMR Short Term Research Studentship.
