Under graduate teaching programme
General clinics and lecture classes are taken regularly for the undergraduates. Seminars, group discussion, case presentations with the help of computers and video presentations, form an integral part of the under graduate teaching repertoire. Surgeries are demonstrated to the undergraduates in the classrooms from the OT. This unique facility of demonstrating live surgeries to the students from the operating theatre to the classroom with video conferencing is setup both in KMC Hospital Attavar and Government Wenlock
Hospital for the benefit of UGs and PGs.

Sessional examinations are held for the UGs as a part of their curriculum. An annual undergraduate Otolaryngology quiz is conducted every year. Winners of this quiz represent KMC, Mangalore in the South Zone quiz organised by the Karavali Branch of the AOI each year.

Dental, Physiotherapy & BASLP (Bachelor of Speech & Language Pathology) Students Teaching Programme

Regular theory classes, practical and clinics are held. Sessional examinations are conducted as a part of their curriculum

Camps

The department conducts regular camps in and around Mangalore catering to the rural population. Green cards are given which offer monetary discount to the deserving.
