• Moideenkutty Sabith, Sunil T Benjamin and Haris Ibn Sahir (MBA 2010 - 2012 Batch) won first place in Tatva event (Best team of Managers) at 'Atharva' held at TAPMI, Manipal during 21-23 January, 2011. They beat teams from BIM Trichy, TAPMI, IIT-Bombay, Great Lakes Institute Chennai, Goa Institute of Management, TSM Madurai, in the final round.
• Haris Ibn Sahir (MBA 2010 - 2012 Batch) won the first place in Matador (Best Manger) event at NAISSANCE’11 held at SDMIMD, Mysore, held during January 6-8 January, 2011.
• He also won first place in Entreluzion (Business Plan event) at Jainicia’ 11 held at Sri Mahaveer Jain College, Bangalore during March, 2011. He won cash prize worth Rs. 1 Lakh.
• Ms. Sridevi and Ms. Carol of MBA batch(2010-2012) won first place in HR event in St Aloysius Verve 2011 held at St. Aloysius College, Mangalore during March 17th-19th, 2011.
• Rakshith Shetty of 2010-2012 batch won first place in Best CEO event conducted by PA College, Mangalore on 10th March 2011. The team also own overall championship trophy in the fest.
• Dixson Dcosta and Rishabh Kalpati of 2010-2012 batch won First Place in HR event conducted by PA College, Mangalore on 10th March 2011.
• Saurabh Uchil and Vishal George of 2010-2012 batch won first place in Marketing event in the management fest conducted by JSS-CMS, Mysore held on 10 and 11th March, 2011.
• Ms. Sridevi and Tyron of 2010-2012 batch won second place in the HR event in the management fest conducted by JSS-CMS, Mysore held on 10 and 11th March, 2011.

• Raksha M (MBA 2009 - 2011 Batch) and Haris Ibn Sahir (MBA 2010 - 2012 Batch) won the first place in the “Buddy Manager”(Best team Manager) event at INFLORE’10 held at Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies, Cochin, during the 28-30 October, 2010.

• Rakshith Shetty (MBA 2010 - 2012 Batch) won first place in Best Manager event at Shatarang’10 held at KVG Institute of Technology, Sullia, Karnataka conducted on October 28th, 2010. The Team from MIM also won the overall championship.

• Akshay Shedbalkar (IMP 2008 - 2011 Batch) won I Prize in the 'Picture of my life photography event' as part of 'Parichay 2010', held during 13-14 October 2010 at MIM, Manipal.
• Gowri T.R. & Jenifer Lorene Dsa (MBA 2009-2011 Batch) secured the runners up position in the HR event (The PeopleTree) at the annual fest 'Crossroads' held at Department of Business Administration, Mangalore University. MIM team was one among 11 teams that participated in the fest held during 10-11 March, 2010 at Mangalore University.
• Ravi Kishor Agrawal (MBA 2008-2010 Batch) did Manipal Institute of Management proud when he participated in the Online Summer Internship Project Competition, organized by Mentormyproject.com, New Delhi from October 12 to November 12, 2009 and won the first prize of Rs. 20,000. The competition was held in the Human Resource Management sector under the topic, “A Study on levels of Job Satisfaction and Psychoneurosis and their Relationship”. He was pitted against strong contenders from colleges like Xavier’s Institute and IIM-L. But Kishor came through with flying colours.
• Manipal Institute of Management, competing with teams like IIM-A, IIM-K, IIFT-Calcutta, IIFT-Delhi, SPJMER, Great Lakes Chennai and others, emerged successful for the first time as the team was shortlisted for the Third Al-Gore Sustainable Benefit Technology Venture Competition held at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi on December 3 and 4, 2009. The team of five were, Ravi Kishor Agrawal, Rakesh G. Naidu, Anurag Kumar, Rohit Kumar and Sushant Jagetiya (all from MBA 2008-2010 Batch). They presented a plan on "Wireless Power Transmission".
• Nitu Prem, Sujatha Biswas, Lavania Achaiah (MBA 2008-2010 Batch) and Gagana (MBA 2009-2011 Batch), won Bronze Medal in 4x100 mts relay in the Manipal University Inter Collegiate Athletic meet held at MIT Stadium on 10-11 October 2009.
• Akshay Rao & Vaatsalya Vasanth (MBA 2008-2010 Batch), have been accredited with the Prestigious "Avishkara" by the BoP Chair of Manipal University during the Manipal University BoP programme which was held on 3rd October 2009.
• Akshay Rao & Vaatsalya Vasanth (MBA 2008-2010 Batch), participated in the Brainchild event at the Annual Techno-Management Festival 'Techniche 09' held at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati from 3-6 September 2009.The team was selected from among 8000 plus registered teams for the event.
• Parth Garg (MBA 2009-2011 Batch), won I prize in events Best Manager & Debate at Parichay 2009, Manipal Institute of Management held during August 2009.
• Vaatsalya Vasanth (MBA 2008-2010 Batch), won I prize in Pot Pouri event at Parichay 2009, Manipal Institute of Management held during August 2009.
• Akshay Rao and Vaatsalya Vasanth (MBA 2008-2010 Batch), won Ist prize [Most feasible business plan of the year 2009] at the national level seminar & business plan competition, "ERUDITION'09", held at the Department of Management Studies & Research, Tripude College of Social Work, Nagpur on 14-15 March, 2009.
• Rakesh Naidu & Shruthi Whagmare (MBA 2008-2010 Batch), won the consolation prize at the national level seminar & business plan competition, "ERUDITION'09", held at the Department of Management Studies & Research, Tripude College of Social Work, Nagpur on 14-15 March 2009.
• Sarthak Nagar (MBA 2008-2010 Batch) won the Best Manager title at the management festival, held at the Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte Karkala on 6-7 March, 2009.
• Sanketh Patel (MBA 2008-2010 Batch) participated in the business quiz and reached the final at NITTE Fest, held at the Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte Karkala on 6-7 March, 2009.
• Abhai Dada Sharma (MBA 2007-2009 Batch) won 3rd prize in a national level paper presentation at the Goverment Engg. College, Salem, Tamil Nadu, that was held from 22-24 February, 2009.
• Neha Jain (MBA 2007-2009 Batch) won the 1st prize in the business plan competition held in connection with the International Conference on Harnessing Entrepreneurial Potential of Women for Economic Growth, organised by MIM, on the 22-24 January, 2009.

• Ms. Sajani B  (MBA 2011-13 Batch) won ‘Project of the Year’ award for her project titled ‘Performance Evaluation of Chitosan and Zeolite as Filter Media’ from Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology, Bangalore during the Seminar and Exhibition held at PES Institute of Technology and Management, Shimoga on 19th and 20th August 2011. The Project was also adjudged as one of the outstanding projects of the year. The project was a team effort of four members.

• The following students of our Institute have won the prizes at CHRIZELLENZ 2011, a national level Management Fest organized by Christ University Institute of Management, Kengeri Campus, Bangalore held during 7 & 8 October 2011.

•  The following students have won Medals in the Track & Field events of the Manipal University Inter Collegiate Athletic meet held on 15th & 16th October 2011 at MIT athletic grounds. The event was organized by Manipal College of Nursing, Manipal.
