The institute firmly believes that extra-curricular activities and organising events unearths hidden talents in young management graduates and facilitates the building of their self-confidence, interpersonal skills, leadership and team building. Throughout the year, students of MIM are motivated to organise various events at the institute, participate in various sports, cultural events and competitions held at Manipal University and other B-schools.
The various student committees such as event management committee, placement committee, literary committee, cultural committee, sports committee and alumni committee, plan and execute various activities under the guidance of the faculty coordinators.
Specialization-wise student clubs such as Finance club FINACLE , Marketing Club FLAME, Healthcare Management Club HEALTHCARE FORUM and HR Club HURICANE conducts various activities such as workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, intercollegiate competitions in their respective areas.
The institute organises an internal talent hunt event, Parichay, to identify the hidden talents of the newly joined students. Various events and competitions are conducted such as debates, mad ads, extempore, creative writing, poetry, collage, potpourri, Business Quiz, Business Plan and Mock Stock and cultural events.
The MIM student forum organises an intercollegiate fest Kurukshetra. This two-day event challenges the potential of participating teams from various B-schools. Some of the major events held in Kurukshetra are:

Yudha Bhumi: The Operations Event that includes quiz, extempore, situational analysis, case analysis and boggling field activity
Parthasarathy: The Best CEO competition has 12 challenging sessions. The participants are tested on their mental and analytical, as well as physical abilities, in different fields of management like HR, Marketing and Finance etc.
