The Manipal Life Sciences Centre (MLSC) is identified as TIFAC-CORE (Technology Information, Forecasting & Assessment Council Centres of Relevance & Excellence) under vision 2020 in the area of Pharmacogenomics. MLSC is actively promoting advanced research in India and abroad. The Centre is thriving on the excellent research faculty, facility and resources; aiming to become the nation's number one research and learning Centre.

The Centre has MOUs with, among other institutions in India and abroad, Queensland Institute of Medical Research (QIMR), Flinders University and University of Queensland in Australia and Lancaster University, UK. It has research collaboration with various institutions in United States, Germany and Australia. MLSC is associated with three major activity areas viz., education, research and diagnostics.
