Manipal Centre for Information Science (MCIS), an industry driven state-of-the-art training institute of excellence in the field of VLSI, Embedded Systems and Medical Software of Manipal University was set up in the year 1998. Since its inception, the Institute has been continuously striving for excellence in education, training and research with a mission of offering value based education.

MCIS has been conducting M.S. courses in the highly specialised areas like VLSI-CAD, Embedded Systems and Medical Software. The institute is working in close association with industry giants like Synopsys Inc, GE Medical Systems, Philips Semiconductors, SysChip, Cerner Corporation and a Consortium of other VLSI and Embedded Design Houses for its post graduation courses.
