ELIGIBILTY
CITIZENSHIP: Indian nationals can apply under the General category. Foreign nationals or Non Resident Indians or Indian nationals supported by NRI Relatives can apply under the Foreign/NRI category.
QUALIFICATION: The candidate must have passed BSc Computer Science/Information Science/Electronics/BCA or Equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
BE / BTech / MCA / MSc or Equivalent in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical and Electronics, Telecommunication, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering for those seeking admission to MSc Tech (VLSI System Design & Verification) Lateral Entry.
ADMISSIONS
GENERAL CATEGORY: Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and there is no entrance test.
Admissions for lateral entry are done on the basis of merit in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET) 2012.
FOREIGN/NRI CATEGORY: Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
Candidates can apply either under General category or F/NRI category. Those submitting applications under both General and F /NRI categories will be considered only under General category. Change of category at a later stage will not be entertained under any circumstances.
There will be screening test for the BSc /BCA Graduates only, details will be announced in the website.

SCHEDULE
The MU-OET will be held between 23.05.2012 and 15.06.2012. The candidates can select the test schedule of their choice in the Online Test Booking System.

MERIT LIST
GENERAL CATEGORY: Based on the marks obtained at the qualifying examination or MU-OET 2012 , Manipal University will declare a common merit list which will be displayed on or before 16.06.2012 in the website.
All candidates possessing a valid GATE score will be given 10% additional marks and ranked in the merit list. Candidates with the GATE score must enclose the photocopy of their GATE score card along with the FORM, without which the additional marks will not be awarded.
FOREIGN/NRI CATEGORY: A separate merit list of the applicants under the F/NRI category will be prepared based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and those selected for admission will be informed separately.
