The computer department is the hub of all the Information Technology activity taking place in the college as well as Fortune Inn Valley View hotel. The subject is taught in the first year of the curriculum. The subject imparts basic knowledge of computing and gradually takes the student to a hospitality computing environment. Subjects include basics of computer hardware/software, MS Office, introduction to Visual Basic programming and operational based packages like Fidelio. The department gives software support in processing attendance, rank list for academics and also IT related support for student activities.

Computer Lab:

The practical classes are conducted here. The latest software packages for MS Office and Hotel Information System are installed and made available to the students. Printer and internet* services are available. The students after being trained on the packages, while doing an OJT are allowed access to the POS terminals for processing transaction at the different POS points in the training hotel.
