The Department has well-established CAD/CAM Lab with state-of-the-art hardware and software’s such as Pro/ENGINEER, CATIA, UNIGRAPHICS, AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop (MDT), Autodesk Inventor, ANSYS, MSC NASTRAN, HYPERMESH, FLUENT, SOLID EDGE, LAB View and Master CAM. Simulation software for CNC Programming, Hydraulic and Pneumatic applications are also available. The department has been running several regular evening courses on FEA, CATIA and FLUENT, Pneumatics and Hydraulic control exclusively for the benefit of the students. It has good computational facility with over 40 Graphics workstations at the disposal of the students.

The basic laboratories such as Heat Engines Lab, Metrology lab, Heat Transfer Lab, Fuel Lab, Vibration Lab have full-fledged facilities for undergraduate work.

The Department has a sprawling Workshop situated on a 30,000 sq ft area, comprising of Machine Shop, Foundry, Smithy, Sheet metal work, Plumbing, Welding, Fitting and Carpentry sections.
