. There is a strong emphasis on research by the faculty members. Five members of our faculty have registered for PhD studies under the guidance of the Head of the department, Dr.V.Ramachandra Murty. Mr.S.Raja and Mr.V.Thivaharan (Asst.Professors - Senior) are pursuing research in the field of aqueous two phase systems and biosurfactants, respectively. Mr.V.Rajasekar and Mr.V.Ramesh (Asst. Professors) are conducting research on fibrinolytic enzymes and  thermostable glucoamylase respectively.
Ms.M.V.Dhanya is pursuing research on astaxanthin
