  1. Anuradha Swaminathan, II year M.Tech student in Biomedical Engg. bagged the “Outstanding Intern” Award from Philips Healthcare, Bangalore, for her work titled “Removal of calcification from arteries in coronary CT Angiography data”.

  2. Student of Fourth year Biomedical Engineering, Abhinith K. Ambastha, along with two third year students of Computer Science and Engineering, Karthik Mandaville and Saurabh Suman, have written a Facebook Application "Autobudder" by which friends can be wished on birthdays automatically without logging in. This application was selected by ACM and has been incorporated by Facebook Corp in its Facebook application.
  3. Best student paper award at AAROHAN 2009 organized by Wipro Technologies on 31st March’09.
  4. Shri Shyam Lal Saxena Memorial Award (2006– 07) established by the National Academy of Medical Sciences (Dr. Gopalakrishna Prabhu K).
  5. Best paper Award at state level PG technical fest, PG Fest 2003, conducted at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte.(Mr. Devadas Bhat).
  6. Second prize in the graduate studies category held during the International Conference, BIOVISION 2001, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
  7. Best Student Paper Award at IEEE-EMBS conference at Hongkong, 1998.
  8. Best Paper Award in the student paper competition (PG category), National Conference on Biomedical Engineering NCBME 1998, MIT, Manipal.
  9. Two of the invention-disclosures of Dr.Ramesh R Galigekere (with co-inventors) have been awarded by Intellectual Ventures, for consideration for Patenting.
