Background/ Past Experience:
Joined M.I.T Manipal on 14th March 1984 as lecturer in Mechanical and I.P department. Completed M.Tech in Engineering Management from Mangalore University in 1990. Promoted as Reader in the same department in 1991. Completed PhD in Tribology in 2007. Promoted as Professor in the department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in 2007. Since May 2009, shouldering the additional responsibility as Associate Director, Alumni cell, M.I.T Manipal. Organised one International conference “Advances in Manufacturing Engineering” in 2007. Organised one workshop “Computer aided design and finite element analysis using micro computers” in 1994. Worked as Resource person for “Aerial View of Mechanical Engineering” in 1999. Conducted short course in ANSYS (20 batches) and CATIA (2 batches) for M.I.T students after the working hours. Taken up a research project “Design of a steel chimney for RXA 06 boiler” for K.M.C Manipal.
