Periodontics
Indigenous development of Modified Bone Scraper Instrument by Dr. Amey Bhide, Stem cell research

Oral Surgery
Clinical trial to investigate the analgesic effect of two paracetamol formulae

Prosthodontics
Evaluation of efficacy of various impression materials, infection control protocols, types of articulators and denture teeth physical characteristics

Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry
Efficacy of preventive protocol on oral health status, association of nutrition & dental caries, efficacy of various sealant materials and stem cell research

Orthodontics
Assessment of new diagnostic parameters and orthodontic techniques

Public Health Dentistry
Assessment of oral health status & treatment needs of special children, Oral health knowledge of various populations

Oral Pathology
Qualitative assessment of various molecules in oral conditions like cysts, oral lichen planus, oral cancer and leukoplakia
Organized an Continuing professional development workshop on “Research Methodology” on October 5,2009. The resource persons were Dr K Ranganathan, Dr Uma Devi and Dr Elizabeth Joshua from Ragas Dental College, Chennai.
Dental Materials
Development of new Glass ionomer cement variant

  • World Health Organization sponsored project titled - Utility of Dental Mobile Van in Providing Basic Oral Health Treatment of Community
  • ICMR sponsored project titled - Evaluation of Tryptase Positive Mast Cells and Glycosaminglycans in the Capsular Wall of Odontogenic Keraocysts, Dentigerous Cysts And Radicular Cysts – An Immunohistochemical Appraisal
  • Clinical trial to investigate the analgesic effect of two paracetamol formulae in collaboration with the Manipal Acunova by GSK UKF.
