The department of Preventive and Community Dentistry is equipped with a well stocked library, a seminar room and a waiting area. It also operates seven out reach centres in the vicinity of Manipal and in Udupi where comprehensive oral care is rendered to the needy with an elaborate referral system for more specialised care. A total of thirty fully equipped dental units are used by the department for the above said purpose.
