The college cricket team under the captaincy of Dr. Dhanasekar B. took a team of youth and experience to Coorg to participate in the Inter Collegiate South Zone T-20 Coorg Coffee Cup organised by the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences, Virajpet. With the efforts of the captain and Pulkit we finished runners-up at the week long cricketing extravaganza.

Our institute staff participated in the Staff Sports Tournamentx organised by Manipal University in cricket, football and basketball, and our teams emerged victorious in all three games in 2008.

Our institute organised the Inter-collegiate Chess Tournament in 2007 and Inter-collegiate Cricket Tournament for the Manipal University in 2008, which saw the host reach the semi-finals, where their good run was stopped by the Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal.

One of our students, Shruti Shetty, won the 3rd prize in the field event of Javelin throw, at the All India Inter University Health Sciences Athletic Meet, held in Bangalore under the aegis of Rajiv Gandhi Health Sciences University.

Gaurav Garg represented the university Chess team during the Inter-University Chess Tournament 2008 held at Tumkur.
