I would say, I did not realise the quality of education and the infrastructure provided at MCODS, Mangalore was of international standards till I came to the United States to pursue dentistry. Here I met graduates from dental schools from all over India and realised that they hadn’t even seen materials, used techniques, or equipments which we used to take for granted at MCODS, Mangalore. Manipal’ites, including me, here in dental schools in the US do not feel the pressure of didactics as much as other foreign trained dentists do, which is solely attributed to the quality teaching provided to us at MCODS, Mangalore. In fact, I would go to the extent of claiming that the infrastructure at my current dental school in the US is comparable to that of MCODS, Mangalore.
