15% of the total admissions are allotted for foreign/ NRI category. The infrastructure provided is at par with the international standards and the teaching methodology is apt for training students to meet challenges in dental practice in a global perspective.

Teaching methodology constitutes of didactic lectures/ tutorials/ seminars/ projects/ Objective Structural Practical Evaluation (OSPE) & Objective Structural Clinical Evaluation (OSCE)

The institution encourages students to conduct research through external funding by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Besides, the Manipal University also provides research incentives for students to attend conferences and present papers/ posters.

The students have a variety of options to choose from after a dental degree. Students can pursue higher studies, can do research, practice in a hospital, pursue private practice, join a government organization in dental field, or get into teaching.
