It is amazing what a bunch of driven guys, a love for the stage and a passion to infect others with an obsession can achieve. Kala Manch is a classic case in point. In the monsoon of 2006, a seed was sown and Kala Manch was established.
Today, three years down the line, a new breed of students is nurturing the sapling. It has staged eight plays so far and has an ambition to revolutionise the theatre culture in Manipal through experimental theatre and the occasional breaking of the Fourth Wall, as was seen in its last production in 2008 – ‘Shanti Harayeko Suchana.’
With a floating average of over 80 members, the club is committed to push the boundaries of the stage till it becomes an integral part of our lives.
The only criteria needed to be a part of this budding club is - love and passion for theatre.
