Overview

Research is a significant component in the course and curriculum of MIC. The institute has carried out a major project on developing Radio manuals funded by the FORD Foundation. MIC has also worked on a ‘Gender and Media’ project supported by the Asian Network of Women in Communication (ANWIC).

The institute also actively encourages teachers to publish and present research articles and participate in national and international conferences.

The dissertation which our postgraduate students work on is a serious research activity.

The Centre for Media and Marketing Communication Research (CMMCR) was established at the institute in 2008 to further communication research.
