Laboratories and Workshop 

  • A computer teaching laboratory has 40 state-of-the-art IBM computers workstations. Some have Xeon processors with high graphic processing capability. Some are connected to the MIT’s network and internet. Software resources include a range of Microsoft office, Adobe and 3D CAD programmes. Information System Department provides students with email accounts

  • A state-of-the-art climatology Laboratory has computerized weather station, wind tunnel, solar scope and a range of scientific instruments to measure lighting, acoustic and thermal performance
  • A model making and joinery workshop is equipped with a range of automated wood working equipment and materials.
  • Photography Laboratory and Documentation Centre with audiovisual teaching
  • Exhibition Hall where students’ works are displayed
  • Department Library for quick and spot referencing. It has architectural books, magazines, conference proceedings, and thesis/project work of the alumni, audio-visual facilities
  • Building Materials Museum with wide collection of materials used in construction
  • Building Services Museum in which important displays related to water supply, sanitation, electrical, mechanical aspects of building design are included
  • Visual Art Studio where exhibitions of earlier works of sculpture and painting are displayed and workshops on sculpture and painting are organized
  • Manipal School of Architecture and Planning has also hosted a portal for academic assistance
  • Manipal School of Architecture and Planning conducts a number of department level workshops and guest lectures for the students as well as the faculty on a regular basis
