We believe that to be able to understand a subject comprehensively, one has to go beyond what is strictly necessary, and be aware of multiple factors beyond the boundary of prescribed learning.
In keeping with this philosophy, this program approaches the study of Animation through a Parallel Track Advancement (PTA) concept that enables students to acquire a holistic learning while mastering the craft of Animation.
This Parallel Track Advancement Concept encompasses:
-
Traditional and Digital Learning - Facilitating simultaneous introduction of traditional and digital techniques and enabling understanding of how these two are actually integrated
-
Hands on Workshop Learning (H.O.W.L) - Experiential learning outside a classroom set-up enabling creative exploration and development, covering workshops on Clay Modeling & Claymation, Sculpting, Puppetry, Storytelling, Photography, Music & Sound Effects, Theatre and more
-
Holistic Personality Enhancement (H.O.P.E) – While subject knowledge and skills are developed on the one hand, focus is also directed towards creating a holistic personality for confident functioning in a real world environment by developing Presentation and Communication Skills
-
General Education – Training in related aspects outside the core subject leading to a broader and more comprehensive understanding
On successful completion of the program, students will be able to demonstrate:
-
Creative and conceptualizing ability

The semesters are designed to provide both practical and academic foundation, establishing competent practical, functional skills and abilities that are essential for successful participation in a variety of creative media settings. They also lay the foundation for addressing the academic demands of further post graduate studies by forming and exercising basic cognitive abilities, relevant theoretical frame works and positive, professional attitudes towards learning.
Essentially, emphasis is placed on understanding the conceptual aspects of Animation, so students can adapt and apply this knowledge regardless of the tools or software they might encounter. The course prepares students for exciting challenges as a Digital Animator in the Animation, Film, Television, Advertisement, Visual Effects, e-learning and Computer Graphics and related industries.
