Manipal College of Allied Health Sciences, a constituent college of the Manipal University is the first full fledged and largest one in the country offering training of over thirty five allied health professional programs at Graduation, Post graduation and Doctoral levels besides overseeing another 15 hospital based allied health personnel training programs and offering clinical services as an important component of the team involved in health care. Of the 14 departments that the college comprises of, six viz., Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Hearing, Optometry, Clinical Psychology and Respiratory Therapy are directly involved in the evaluation, management and rehabilitation of persons with disability. The college has carved a niche in the training of quality health care professionals and their services to the people with disability.
