The department offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the specialty of speech and hearing. The focus is on training the students to have an understanding of the basics of evaluation and management of speech and hearing disorders at the graduate level. At the master's level, the training is geared towards developing an in-depth understanding of the various facets of the specialty and inculcating logical and analytical approach to the evaluation and intervention strategies. Exposure in the research methodology and statistics applicable to the specialty is provided to further their quest in the specialty at the doctoral levels. The students at the end of their course work are geared to take up clinical, faculty or research positions in India or abroad.
