The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology started its UG programme in 1992 and PG programme in 2003. Technologists are primarily concerned with a patient's treatment by performing laboratory procedures in Blood Banking, Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology and Clinical pathology. Manual dexterity, good eyesight and self discipline are must for this occupation. The varied testing procedures require a skilled and conscientious person.
