Manipal University has initiated a multi-disciplinary program for international students from various universities across the globe to show case Indian culture and traditions, India‟s place in world affairs and the role of media and communication.
Known as the Study Abroad Program (SAP), it will provide the students an opportunity to spend a semester here and learn something new and different, which will enable them to broaden their horizon and also understand the emerging importance of Indian culture and traditions.
The SAP at Manipal University has been designed keeping the multi-disciplinary strengths of the University in mind. Students from across the globe are keen to know more about India and therefore these courses will help them understand Indian traditions and culture better.
The course will also analyze the complexities of the international and regional security issues from the Indian point of view and assess the impact of the growing role of communication and media on the world systems and politics. It is for this reason that the courses have been carefully put together from cultural studies, Geopolitics,Public Health and Media and Communication.
