Department of Allied Hospitality Studies
The Department of Allied Hospitality Studies is established to provide globally benchmarked education in Culinary Arts, Hospitality & Tourism and Dietetics & Applied Nutrition.
The undergraduate programme in Culinary Arts provides specialized hospitality training to achieve excellence and marketability in the fast changing culinary industry through creativity, innovation and change driven by a dynamic curriculum.
The postgraduate programme in Dietetics and Applied Nutrition is designed to enhance knowledge and skills of those who wish to expand their understanding of human and clinical nutrition and develop critical evaluation skills through an integration of nutrition, dietetics (therapeutic nutrition) and research.
The postgraduate courses in Hospitality and Tourism aim to further students’ knowledge and understanding of the hospitality industry and to develop critical awareness of current issues and new insights in the areas of professional practice. The courses also encourage students to research on core and allied fields in Hospitality and Tourism.
Collaborations & Partnerships
• The M.Sc. Hospitality with Tourism Management (Dual) programme is conducted at Manipal University in association with University College of Birmingham, UK.
