Lending service: Books are issued to all students and faculty of the institute. The numbers of books issued are based on the category of the user. Students can keep the books for 14 days.

Reference service: Reference service is provided for queries from the available reference sources. Sometimes the users may be directed to sources available in libraries of other institutes.

Current awareness service: This service is provided through the display of new books in new arrivals rack.

Text Book Service: Important and prescribed text books are kept in the text book section and also these books are issued for reference against the library membership card.

Book bank service: Library has a separate book bank section. The undergraduates are issued one book from this section for the whole semester.

Photocopying service: Journal articles and other materials that are not lent out can be photocopied for a nominal charge.

Inter library loan service: Books/journal articles that are not available in our library can be procured from DELNET or other libraries of the university.

CDROM service: The library has the compact disc version of DIALOG online system of USA called COMPENDEX Plus. The library has the CD’s since 1985 to 2004. Library also maintains the CD’s received along with the books. The users can get them copied for a nominal charge.

Newspaper service: Library subscribes 10 daily newspapers for the benefit of its users.

Online journals: Library has online access to ACM, ASCE, ASME, IEEE/IEE, Science Direct and Springer link journals. All machines in the MIT campus are enabled for the same.

Question paper service: Question papers of all the engineering examinations conducted by Manipal University are uploaded in the intranet.

Internet/Wi Fi service: All the reading halls of the central library are Wi Fi enabled and students can use their laptops in the reading halls for accessing the online documents subscribed by the library.
