Mr. Niraj Desai
Niraj obtained his BE degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology in the year 1999. After graduating from MIT, he did his M.S.E.E from University of Southern California. A few years later, he completed his MBA from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
In his professional career, Niraj started as a microprocessor design engineer and project manager at Cadence Design Systems, followed by Sun Microsystems in the Silicon Valley – where he worked on cutting edge technology for numerous microprocessor technologies, which were used in complex systems world-wide. After his MBA, he became a strategy consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in Los Angeles – advising leadership teams at Fortune 500 companies on strategy, change management and operations in diverse sectors like financial services, media and healthcare.
Niraj returned to India in 2009. Presently, he is an AVP of Business Strategy at FINO – a firm working towards financial inclusion in India. Niraj is developing solutions in mobile banking that will help bring financial access to millions of Indians through their mobile phones.
